It is exactly 7:00 p.m. and I am comfortably settled into my room here in Tulsa, OK. I am anticipating a great few days of fellowship, worship, and visiting with friends old and new.
I drove up with my friend John Grigson and we had a great several hour visit. John is doing an amazing prison ministry through Celebrate Recovery Inside. In Monroe, John and some helpers are taking hope and recovery to men who are locked away both in jail and in sin. John has a wonderful story of his own recovery and is now reaching out to others caught in similar circumstances. Our fellowship was rich and very enjoyable. I have often referred to John as a trophy of God’s grace.
We towed a trailer loaded with World Radio stuff and followed our friend and brother Ken Bolden’s motor home the long trek from Monroe to Tulsa. Ken works for World Radio getting the good news out the world over. Ken and others will man with World Radio booth here at the Tulsa Workshop. There will be several folks from our church, White’s Ferry Road in West Monroe, LA here for the rest of the week.
This is my first visit to this coC Mecca of sorts. I have wanted to attend but this is my first opportunity to do so. I hope to meet some of my readers and fellow bloggers. I’ll likely give a daily update on what has impressed me as the week progresses.
His peace,
Royce
